When
Conex Forest Products was formed on June 1, 1989, sales were only to the
Caribbean and most orders were placed
mill direct. Over the years, Conex has grown to be a full service import
and export company representing some of the largest producers of lumber,
plywood, and composite panels in North America, South America, and
Europe. Even though our company
has gone through many changes over the years, we have always remained
focused on the supply of quality products, at competitive prices, and at
a service level second to none.
On
January 1, 2000, we opened our large warehouse distribution facility
adjacent to the Talleyrand Port in Jacksonville, FL. From this facility,
we service our Caribbean customer base with just-in-time shipments, and
provide our Florida customers with imported and domestic wood products.
In the same year,
Conex began
stocking products along the Gulf and East coast to service our
customers needs better. We are continually making visits to our
warehouse facilities in the U.S. and to our overseas suppliers to inspect the quality of products
we supply to our customers.
Management
at Conex Forest Products is keenly aware that in today's business
climate, it is a necessity for successful companies to stay ahead of
changes in the industry. It is with
this belief, Conex has been able to grow throughout the years and is in
a position for growth and success in the future.
